Armed Forces Day

The government has announced plans to hold an Armed Forces Day on the last Saturday in June. The intention is to mark the contribution made to society by all those who serve and have served in the armed forces. Events, large and small, are being held across the country. Such an event is being held in the Portobello Royal British Legion Club on Monday evening, 22 June. A flag will be raised at 7.00pm, followed by a few remarks. There will be a band and buffet supper in the main hall.  If you have served or are serving in the armed forces and would like to come along then to obtain a ticket, costing £4 each, please contact
